Study aids are not intended to serve as substitutes for casebooks. However, these resources can be helpful in understanding the more complex questions discussed in class and presented on law school exams.
This guide is not comprehensive, but intended to provide a starting point for the study supplement resources that are available at the Law Library. Most of the library's print study aids are on the reserves shelves located behind the circulation desk and are available for short-term 3-hour borrowing. Stop by the service desk at the Law Library to inquire about, or check out, materials. Older editions of titles may be available on the third floor bookshelves for long-term borrowing. Many of the study supplements are also available as e-books though West Academic Study Aids.
As a law student you also have access to online, interactive lessons provided by the Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI). You will need an activation code to access the lessons. Stop by the library service desk for the code.
If you are looking for a study supplement on a subject not covered in this guide, your librarians are happy to recommend some resources. Stop by the library service desk or send an email. We are always happy to help!
