Research Online: Faculty Guide

A guide to help faculty manage their Research Online profile.

Video: how to add an item to your Scholarship tab

NOTE:  This video is from the company that makes the software we use for Research Online, and their name for it is Esploro.  When you hear "Esploro" in the video, just know that Esploro = Research Online.

Tips & Things to Consider

  • If you want to deposit a document along with your item so readers have access to the full text, you need to be sure you own the copyright.  If you are adding work that has been previously published, you will need to check your publisher agreement to see if the publisher now owns the copyright.  You may still be able to add a preprint version, but again, if you signed over your copyright to the publisher, you will need to follow their guidelines for which version can be submitted.

  • Before adding an item, be sure to double check that it is not already in your profile.
  • If you have trouble adding an item or are unsure of how to proceed, use our help form to let us know how we can help and we will follow up with you.
