#5 Tip

Use RefWorks to save (and manage) your citations, and create the bibliography for your paper.

Ways to save citations

You've gone through your search results, and added things to the folder.  Now what?

(Please remember:  The Folder is only a temporary storage spot.)

Click on the folder on the blue bar.  This will open a window showing the items in your folder.

Export: Using RefWorks

RefWorks is a tool provided to UST students to help you organize and manage your citations.  You put citations into folders (one per class/assignment), and when you are ready, RefWorks will create the bibliography for your paper.

These screenshots show how to get citations from ERIC into RefWorks. Begin by clicking on the Export button on the folder view (see above). You will see this next.

This will take you to the RefWorks login screen.  If you have not set up a RefWorks account, click on the "Sign Up for a New Account" link; otherwise log in, and you citations will arrive in a few seconds. More detailed instructions for RefWorks are available here.  (This login will be different from your UST username/password.)

The new RefWorks has a different login screen.
