This year, I discovered Ted Conover, a National Book Critics Circle Award winner and frequent contributor to The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic and other magazines , through his latest book . I have read all of his books this past year and am so impressed with his breadth of knowledge and experience, as well as his journalist's desire to talk to everyone and explore everywhere.
