Set in Argentina. Jose, a 70-year-old anarchist, had deposited $15,000 in a bank 20 years ago, but when he attempts to withdraw the money, the bank denies him the money due to Jose's lack of paperwork confirming the money is his. Jose decides to rob the bank to get his money back, but while he's in the process of doing so, Pedro, a 23-year-old bank clerk, who is unhappy with his job and life, impulsively announces that Jose has taken him hostage, and the two men end up leaving the bank with $500,000. As Jose and Pedro flee from the police, they spend some of the money, give some of it out to the poor, and occasionally send videotaped messages to the media describing the bank money's illegal origins and Jose and Pedro's good intentions for the money. As a result of the media attention, ordinary citizens soon come to the aid of Jose and Pedro, as well as other criminals who are after the money.
