LibGuide Accessibility

This guide was created as part of the Summer 2024 Digital Accessibility Ambassador program, with it's aim to support librarians who create libguides for courses that support faculty and students at St. Thomas.

Text

  • Use clear fonts:
    • Don't mix different font types. Stick to default font, which is Sans Serif
    • Minimize use of bold, color, italics and all capital letters
    • Don't use underlines for emphasis
    • Use real text rather than graphics
  • Font size should be consistent throughout the guide
  • Do not rely on color alone to convey meaning or importance
  • Ensure a proper contract between the font and the background
  • Make sure the content is clearly written and easy to read
