This guide provides an overview of the nursing resources available via the St. Thomas Libraries.

Key Clinical Sources

Micromedex

A collection of databases with summaries and detailed monographs on drugs, alternative medicine, toxicology, and reproductive risks. Includes tools for drug interactions, IV compatibility, drug identification, drug comparison, and calculators.

Micromedex has a free app for use by students, faculty, and staff.

UpToDate

An evidence-based, peer-reviewed point-of-care resource for health information that provides specific recommendations for patient care. Requires an UpToDate account using your UST email address.
UpToDate access instructions

To maintain your access to UpToDate you will need to confirm your affiliation with the University of St Thomas every 90 days. To do this, simply log into UpToDate from within the University of St Thomas network.
