Borrowing Books

University of St. Thomas staff have full borrowing privileges at St. Thomas and at other schools in our CLIC Consortium. 

Search for library books at St. Thomas and other CLIC schools using LibrarySearch. LibrarySearch is the library catalog of six private colleges and universities in the Twin Cities, including Saint Thomas. Books from other campuses can be requested online and delivered to the St. Thomas library of your choice.

  • Book Loan Period: 120 days 
  • Maximum Items: Unlimited
  • Maximum Loan Period: 240 days

CLIC Libraries

  • Book Loan Period: 120 days 
  • Maximum Items: 50 
  • Maximum Loan Period: 148 days

Introduction to LibrarySearch

Learn to use LibrarySearch, which provides a simple, one-stop search for books, articles, videos, recordings, and more. Items from St. Thomas and other regional libraries can be requested online and delivered to the St. Thomas library of your choice.

Book Delivery Service

Faculty and Staff members on the St. Paul campus can opt to have books requested from CLICnet or Interlibrary Loan delivered to their on-campus mailbox.

Before filling out this form, please read the delivery service policies:

  • This service is only available on the St. Paul Campus.
  • CLICnet and ILLiad items will be checked out to your library account prior to being delivered to your on-campus mailbox each morning.
  • You may still receive automated Pick-up Notices, these can be disregarded.
  • Once the items have been delivered to your mailbox you assume all responsibility for them.
  • DVDs and VHS are excluded from this delivery service.
