Systematic theology undertakes the task of a comprehensive and synthetic understanding of the Christian faith as mediated through the Scriptures and the Catholic Tradition and as interpreted by Church Councils and Papal Magisterium.

Presents a Christian understanding of God based on Scripture and the historical tradition, with attention given to question of interpretation.  Uses key magisterial texts, their implication for the development of Christology and Trinitarian theology and contemporary questions and issues.
