Ask a Librarian: Frequently Asked Questions

What are the hours for the library?

Take a look at our full list of the hours for each of our libraries.

How do I find a book?

Search LibrarySearch, our online library search system. Once you run your search, look along the left side where you can narrow your results to just books. This will find both physical books and e-books.

How do I find an article?

LibrarySearch, our online library search tool, will find articles that the library has access to. Simply type in the words you're searching for. When you get to the results, look on the left side where you can narrow your results to just articles.

How do I find a specific magazine, journal, or newspaper?

Use our Journal search in LibrarySearch to look for the title of the magazine, journal, or newspaper (not the title of the article!). The results will point you to whether we have access to that title, and if so, which years, and how to get to it.

Journal Search: Enter all or the beginning of the title (e.g., New York Times or Harvard).

How do I find a film or movie?

LibrarySearch, our online library search tool, will find films and movies that the library has access to. The library has movies on DVD as well as access to streaming video services.

More about our film and media collection.
