Resource Lists: How-To Documentation: Introduction

Instructions for faculty and staff for adding and managing Resource Lists in Canvas

Deadlines

Please plan to give library staff 7 days lead time to process your resource list. We receive a high volume of requests at the same time, and lists are processed on a "first come, first served" basis.

Getting Started

There are a number of ways to get started:

  1. Do-it-yourself: Use this guide to activate Resource Lists in Canvas and start building your list
  2. Consult with library staff: Contact one of the librarians in the right sidebar to set up a meeting to learn more or get started creating lists. Both face-to-face and Zoom meetings are available.
  3. Consult with instructional designers: STELAR's instructional designers can also get you started. Ask them about Resource Lists when building your class.
  4. Attend one of our workshops [dates coming soon]

What are Resource Lists?

"Resource Lists" is a Canvas add-on that provides:

  • Online Management of Course Readings
  • Use of Existing Library Materials
  • Metrics
  • Stable Linking
  • Copyright Management
