Using Value Line

To login into ValueLine please follow these steps:

  • Click on the ValueLine database link; once the database loads, look for the “Sign in” button in the upper right corner of the page. 
  • If the button says: “Sign in”, click on it and then go to the "Browse Research" link and begin company research.
  • If the button says: “Sign Out”, do not click on it, but rather proceed to the "Browse Research" section of the database for company research.      

 

The best/fastest way to use Value Line is to tab through the various sections listed under the "Research Hub" landing page to find information and resources available by type (stocks, bonds, options, etc). 

Content marked with a green padlock is available through our subscription.  A grey padlock means that content is not available. Problem is, sometimes the site has trouble recognizing our subscription.  

 

You will know you have issues if all content has grey padlocks and/or you do not see a "WELCOME UNIVERSITY OF ST THOMAS LIB" message. If this happens:  

1. First thing to do is click LOG IN at the top right on the screen.

2. The screen should refresh.  You will be brought to the MY VALUE LINE page and should view the welcome message and green padlocks.  

3. Go back to the RESEARCH HUB to continue your search. 

Even though we authenticate through the library, for some reason Valueline doesn't always catch that.  There is no username/password to get into Value Line. Just clicking LOG IN usually works.

If you are using Internet Explorer and have the option of another browser, please try another browser.  The problem happens far less in Firefox.
