Resource Lists: How-To Documentation: Request Tags

Instructions for faculty and staff for adding and managing Resource Lists in Canvas

Tag Items Which Need Library Processing

Library Staff will process your list to help make the materials accessible. Many electronic books and articles require little staff intervention, but physical books require course reserves or digitization processing, items not held by the library require purchase or acquisition processing and copyright clearance considerations, and at times links will need to be checked. Using the Request Tags functionality is the easiest way to communicate with Library Staff about your intentions for your citations.

There are 2 categories of Request Tags.

1.Requests:

  1. Digitize Portion
  2. Purchase Request
  3. License Short-Term Use
  4. Personal Copy

2.Physical Course Reserves – Loan Period

  1. 3-hour
  2. 3-day
  3. 7-day
