1. Reduce anxiety in students and encourage the asking of questions. Students are more likely to ask questions of peers.
2. Make accessing library services as seamless as possible.
3. Triage research questions so that each patron gets the assistance they need. Peer Research Assistants will be trained to handle basic library and research questions and will refer more in depth questions to a subject specialist librarian.
