CALI (Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction)Provides more than 800 interactive, computer-based lessons on more than 35 legal subjects to supplement students' legal coursework. Some lessons are keyed to specific casebooks and so may be useful in exam preparation. Lessons vary in length from 15 minutes to a few hours, from short lecture podcasts to longer interactive tutorials.

What is CALI?
Short for “Computer-Assisted Legal Research.” Self-paced tutorials used to review, reinforce and refresh what you’ve learned in class.
How do you access CALI?
Two ways. Install the software disk on your computer or go to http://www.cali.org. The lessons can be accessed with a computer, an iPad or an iPhone. You will need an access code to set up your account. Please visit the law librarians for assistance or email lawreference@stthomas.edu.
What subjects does CALI offer?
There are over 800 lessons on various legal topics. Students hoping to specialize in business law, intellectual property, tax, employment law, environmental law or estate planning will all find lessons to sharpen their skills.
What’s particularly good for 1Ls?
Many of the lessons cover topics of interest to 1Ls and there is a 1L topics link on the CALI lessons home page. Most of UST’s first year subjects including Civil Procedure, Contracts, Criminal Law, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Property Law and Torts are covered in CALI lessons.
