Twice Exceptional (2e) Resources for Teachers: Finding Books

Children who have above average intelligence, but also have a disability are considered "twice exceptional". This guide provides some resources to start with when doing research on this topic.

Information from State Education Departments

In this age of accountability and academic standards, are any state education departments producing material to help teachers of the twice exceptional?  The answer is YES, and here are a few examples.

Introduction

Use CLICnet to search for books.  There is a "quick" search box below to get you started.  If you are looking for a specific book (or other known item), type the title in the box ignoring initial articles. For a specific author, type the last name first.  If St. Thomas doesn't own an item, but another CLIC library does, click on the red "request item" check mark to request it.  If you are unable to find an item in CLICnet, you might search the WorldCat database, and request items found there on interlibrary loan (ILLiad).

Worldcat Search - Simple

Search for an item in libraries nation-wide:
WorldCat.org >>

Use Interlibrary Loan to request books owned by libraries nationwide.
