Systematic Theology (Revelation, Tradition, and Doctrine): Eschatology

Systematic theology undertakes the task of a comprehensive and synthetic understanding of the Christian faith as mediated through the Scriptures and the Catholic Tradition and as interpreted by Church Councils and Papal Magisterium.

Introduction

Christian eschatology is concerned with death, an intermediate state, Heaven, hell, the return of Jesus, the resurrection of the dead, the end of the world, the last judgment, a new heaven and a new earth (the World to Come), and the ultimate culmination of all of God's purposes.
