Introduction

This guide provides information about a number of useful resources on topics related to developmental or educational psychology.  Use the tabs above to explore these resources.

  • Getting started -- where you are now; includes brief information about St. Thomas libraries and other guides of interest
  • Finding Books -- search for print or electronic books, media, and other things that would be in a library--or in some cases--online
  • Reference Resources--take a look at these encyclopedias and research handbooks.  They are often good for a summary of research on a topic. Some, but not all, are online.
  • Finding Articles--a good place to start if you are looking for journal articles
  • Websites for Research -- try these websites for information that will supplement your library research
  • Citing Sources -- help for completing the bibliography for your paper/project

About the Libraries and Off-Campus Information

Most of the recent printed sources on developmental or educational psychology will probably be located at Keffer Library.  You may occasionally find a book or journal that is housed at O-Shaughnessey-Frey Library (or possibly in another CLICnet library).  You may request items at other libraries through interlibrary loan.  If you are in an off-campus cohort (and outside the metro area), you may request any circulating books from any library (including Keffer) on interlibrary loan and they will be mailed to you
