Multicultural Research Guide for Teachers: Finding Books

This guide provides a selection of resources for a research project on multicultural education.

  Hello! to Everyone

  Introduction

Use CLICnet to search for books.  There is a 'quick' search box below to get you started.  If you are looking for a specific book (or other known item), type the title in the box, ignoring initial articles.  For a specific author, type the last name first.  If St. Thomas doesn't own an item you are looking for, but another library does, click on the red 'request item' check mark to request it.  If you are unable to find a specific item in CLICnet, you might search the WorldCat database, and request items from it on interlibrary loan (ILLiad).

At the bottom is a search box for Summon.  This is a new resource that allows you to search CLICnet and a group of databases in a single search.  Keep in mind that this is just a starting place.  You may need to also search one or more databases in greater depth to find the best information related to your topic.

LibrarySearch Catalog: Books

LibrarySearch provides a simple, one-stop search for books, articles, videos, recordings, and more. Items from St. Thomas and other regional libraries can be requested online and delivered to the St. Thomas library of your choice.
